Meeting Minutes: August 8, 2019

We wanted to inform you that this evenings meeting has been canceled. Unfortunately this is due to the busy nature of the Pyro season and some officers whom are unable to attend. 

We apologize for the last minute notification and any inconveniences this may have caused.

After months of hard work and dedication, we are pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new website! The new site is available and the URL is www.WNYPA.org

Our goal with this new interactive website is to provide you, our members and visitors an easier way to learn more about WNYPA. In addition, we will keep all club information available to members and make this a platform where we can communicate to you.

Amongst the new features the site contains integrated social media buttons for YouTube, Twitter and Instagram to foster improved communication with our members.

We will be constantly updating our content with helpful information, articles, news, newsletters, and club announcements in the News section.

We hope you find the new website with a fresh look, easy to access information and we also wish to establish this portal as a source of information as well as a place for our members to hang-out and have discussions amongst each other.

Hi I’m Mark! I’m currently the Member at Large. Members at large serve as a liaison between the officers and the rest of the club. There are no specific duties, and the role may change according to need. Some examples may be assistance in setting up for all meetings, events, sets out and cares for the club’s materials and supplies, Club property, including banner, nametags, and supplies, and greets members and especially guests.

Bill Minnich

WNYPA Treasurer

Hi I’m Bill! I’m the current Treasurer of Western New York Pyrotechnic Association. The Treasurer is responsible for Club financial policies, procedures and controls. The role involves the club’s finances, including dues collection and materials purchasing. The Treasurer collects dues and pays dues to the club, and maintains records. All club accounts come through this officer. Dues notices and collection falls to the Treasurer while working with the Secretary. Makes financial reports to the Club at least quarterly. Receives and disburses, with approval of the Club, all Club funds.

Jerry Aroneseno

WNYPA Secretary

Hi I’m Jerry! I’m the current Secretary of Western New York Pyrotechnic Association. The Secretary is responsible for Club records and correspondence. The role involves all administrative details between the officers and members, and keeping the club’s documents available and up-to-date.

The Secretary cares for the club’s records, including by-laws and constitution. Updated membership records, new member applications, supply orders, officers’ lists, and past club records fall to the Secretary for execution. The Secretary also records and reads the meeting minutes, for meetings of the club.

Jerry Whitman

WNYPA Vice President

Hi I’m Jerry! I’m the current Vice President of Western New York Pyrotechnic Association. The Vice President handles sustaining and boosting the number of club members. The role involves marketing and some administration.

The VP plans, organizes, and implements a continuous marketing effort to ensure that club membership remains above charter strength (20 members). This is done both by retaining current members, and by gathering new members. The VP also takes on the responsibilities of the President in their absence.

Bill Kirsop

WNYPA President

Hi I’m Bill! I’m the current President of Western New York Pyrotechnic Association. The President is the “chief executive officer” for the club. The role involves general supervision and operation of the club.

The President presides at Club meetings, and directs the club in meeting the members’ needs for educational growth and leadership. In cooperation with the rest of the officers, the President establishes long-term and short-term goals for the club. The President serves as one of the Club’s representatives at events, for sponsors, and partner organizations.
